Bicycles in family

South of Rouen, the Seine-Eure territory attracts lovers of bucolic walks and the most experienced sportsmen with its kilometers of greenways and hiking trails. For a weekend or during the vacations, there’s nothing like a day of roaming to get into the green, enjoy a good walk with your family and discover the Eure Valley along its banks.

On this 30 km trail reserved exclusively for cyclists, pedestrians and people with reduced mobility, enjoy the diversity of the landscapes on foot, by bike, on rollerblades, skateboard or scooter. The Greenway – aptly named – offers a safe walking circuit suitable for all ages.

From the Seine Eure greenway

The part of the circuit that crosses Vaudreuil is however in a “shared” lane with motorists and requires a little vigilance. From Le Vaudreuil, a second greenway route leads to Saint-Pierre-du-Vauvray via Saint-Etienne-du-Vauvray. Cyclists can join the Seine Valley bicycle route which follows the banks of the river and links the lakes of Grande Noé, Mesnil and Deux Amants. Along this still used river axis, you will meet cruise ships, barges and container ships heading for the ports of Rouen and Le Havre.

Ride the Voie Verte between Pinterville and Pont-de-L’Arche.

Along the water, this 30 km itinerary invites you to a charming stroll along the banks of the Eure and the Seine near the Léry-Poses leisure center. Sumptuous landscapes and luxuriant nature are revealed, peaceful stops near the water are a must: the old cloth-making city of Louviers with its museum, the Notre-Dame church and the cloister of the Penitents, Val-de-Reuil with its hiking trails, the bird sanctuary of Grande Noë and the animal gardens of Biotropica or the boating city of Poses with its dam, the Seinoscope and the locks of Amfreville In the fortified medieval city of Pont-de-l’Arche, don’t miss the Notre-Dame des Arts church and the Bonport abbey.
